Letter of Gratitude from WESTFORD PRO 2A

Dear Republican Town Committee and IZON Readers,

On behalf of Westford Pro 2A, I wanted to express my deepest gratitude on behalf of me and all the lawful firearms owners for voting against Article 9.

The Bill of Rights enshrines rights that were so important to the founders of the United States, that they included them in the founding document of the country, The Constitution.

In countries where ANY of the rights listed in the Bill of Rights have been infringed, those citizens have suffered, and sometimes horrifically.

Rights not fought for are rights soon lost.

I do not believe this fight is over and I hope we can continue to stand together when the dark forces of the other side regroup, and try to usurp the constitution again.

Thank you once again for your help and support.

I totally agree with the decisions made on Article 9 by the Special Town Meeting recently by the voting public. That’s Democracy folks.

I was present for the entire meeting as well as the check-in period and after the meeting was adjourned. I witnessed no harassment at all. I’m amazed that so many purportedly intelligent and reasonable people reacted to the procedure at the meeting as improper and abusive. I was amazed by what I considered as totally inappropriate as the attempt to reintroduce the discourse after the PEOPLE HAD SPOKEN.

I am legally armed. I’m 80 years old. I’ve been a gun owner since I was 7 (starting with a BB gun) and have never shot anyone. Why? I haven’t needed to. I am glad that is the case. Because of the governance in the USA, dangerous people have up to now been generally kept off the street and out of public contact. I’m not too sure that will continue to be true given current political directions. It is refreshing and confidence building to know that I am prepared to defend myself and my family. Can you say the same?
