Minority Leader Bradley Jones, R-North Reading, made the following assignments for Greater Lowell lawmakers:

* State Rep. Sheila Harrington, R-Groton, will serve on the Ways & Means Committee. She also will serve as assistant ranking minority member on the Rules Comittee.

* State Rep. Marc Lombardo, R-Billerica, will serve as ranking minority member on the Technology and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee. He also will serve on the Ethics Committee.

* State Rep. James Lyons, R-Andover, whose district includes part of Tewksbury, will serve on the Personnel and Administration Committee.

House Speaker Robert DeLeo was rumored to be announcing the Democrat assignments on Wednesday, but he did not.
